Roxy’s owners are planning a trip around Australia in the near future and they can’t take Roxy so they are looking for a good home for her.
Roxy has all her work done and is up to date with worming. She loves chasing and looking for rabbits, obeys basic commands (sit, stay, shake, drop, roll over). Needs more training on returning to owner for long distances (short distances are fine).
Barks occasionally at foxes, rabbits, and dogs (at a distance away). Loves the company of other dogs to play with.
She is an outside dog. Loves her kennel or a chair with a cushion to curl up in and sleep.
She looks in through the window and begs for someone to go for a walk outside so she can tag along and run around in the garden.
She has dermatic mange, a genetic condition that she inherited from her mother which was noticed 2 months ago. She began to lose some hair from the top of one of her ears. She is having vet treatment for that. The only other issue she has ever had was an abscess that formed on her neck, which she has also been treated for and is healing well.
She is such a loving dog. She will lap up a rub of the tummy and under chin, all day long. She wags her tail to anyone, loves people. Makes everyone feel welcome. And loves going on adventures in the car. And is very adaptable to changing environments. She is not anxious or worried in a new place, very curious, and loves exploring.
She is an all round fantastic family dog, farmer’s companion, and excellent with children.
I am keen for any interested parties to trial her for a week in their environment to ensure she is the right dog for them and that she feels comfortable with any other pets or nearby animals.
